Anthony BedwellANTHONY BEDWELL, a partner with the firm, is a civil trial attorney with extensive experience in a wide range of litigation involving matters as large as hundreds of millions of dollars in dispute between Fortune 100 companies and as small as neighboring property owner disputes.

Anthony’s current practice concentrates in the areas of Attorney Legal Malpractice and other Professional Liability claims (including claims involving Accountants, Architects, Engineers and Medical Malpractice), as well as Complex Commercial Litigation, and Trust, Estate, and Probate disputes. He has both prosecuted and defended professional liability claims involving multistate and international firms, and has resolved such claims through both trial and settlement. He has represented businesses and individuals in complex disputes involving such matters as breach of contract claims, restrictive covenant and non-compete disputes, theft of trade secret matters, construction projects, insurance coverage disputes, and business dissolutions (i.e., “corporate divorces”).

Anthony has also prosecuted and brought to trial complex Trust and Estate disputes involving multi-million dollar estates. In addition, he has gained substantial experience in government contract matters and bid protests, including Information Technology contracts, Defense Contract matters, and services contracts.

While Anthony is an experienced trial attorney and knows how to aggressively litigate against the largest of adversaries in extremely contentious and complex cases, he also consciously pursues matters with the client’s bottom line in mind. He has taken cases to verdict, but also obtained substantial settlements through pre-litigation negotiations. He understands that litigation takes a toll on a client’s ability to pursue other matters and therefore should be resolved as expeditiously as possible.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Bedwell gained substantial trial experience as Deputy City Attorney for the City and County of San Francisco, as an Associate of Rodgers, Joseph & O’Donnell (a boutique litigation firm handling Government Contract and Legal Malpractice litigation), and as Of Counsel to Zitrin & Mastromonaco in San Francisco, California, where he represented clients together with Richard Zitrin (Ethics Professor at U.C. Hastings) in matters involving legal ethics, other fiduciary duties, professional malpractice, trustee liability, will contests, trust enforcement actions and general business disputes.

Mr. Bedwell has been practicing in New Jersey since 2007, when he moved to the East Coast to raise his family. Anthony is a graduate of the University of Michigan and the U.C. Hastings College of Law.
