Rafiq E. Moorman is an Associate in the Florham Park office. Mr. Moorman focuses his practice on Land Use, Redevelopment, and Government Affairs.
Prior to joining the Firm, Mr. Moorman was a Real Estate Associate at Sills, Cummis & Gross, P.C., where his practice included the development and redevelopment of commercial properties. Previously, as the Assistant Corporation Counsel to the City of Newark’s Department of Law and Department of Economic and Housing Development, he gained extensive experience in the negotiation and drafting of redevelopment agreements and financial agreements as well as the process of designating areas in need of redevelopment or rehabilitation. Mr. Moorman has worked on several large-scale redevelopment projects in the City of Newark, including the Mulberry Commons and Riverfront Park. In addition, Mr. Moorman has assisted in the completion of various low- and moderate-income housing projects and initiatives, as well as HUD financings.
Mr. Moorman graduated from Rutgers University and Rutgers University School of Law.
